In December of 2012, the national news covered as story on a Swiss couple being attacked in Madhya Pradesh. Another story covered the rape of a 24 year old medical student who was gang raped while traveling on a moving bus. Last Thursday, March14, Indian Parliament passed a new rape law in response to these recent sexual assaults.
